Honestly Imperfect: Headscarf?!?!

haniyamalik:

Sure, many people have high and noble intentions for covering their hair. Some people have noble intentions about aspiring to cover it in the future. Some Muslim women may never end up covering their hair. What is it to you?

I often wonder why people are so opinionated about the topic of a…

Honestly Imperfect: My Number 1 :D

haniyamalik:

We always take joy in noticing or realizing how well certain people know us. It feels good when we have those moments where it becomes apparent that they know the real you. Like that moment when you are playing Taboo and you hardly get in half of your sentence and your roommate…

In sectarian disputes between the Sunni and Shia communities, I believe the victims are the sincere faithful who become indoctrinated with this “black and white,” “us verses them” mentality.

Being brought up in a country with a Sunni majority, I unfortunately had this inner wall that would make my heart and mind immediately suspect to any mention of Ali, or Ahl Al Bayt.

Alhumdullillah for diversity, open-minded inquiry, scholars, books, and lovers.

I credit Amir Sulaiman for this change in my mentality and approach.

May the Most High guide us all, and save us from pettiness.

How to Wake up for Fajr?
A reader shared: “To wakeup early i sleep early and place my mobile with alarm set on it far away from my bed so that when it will ring ill walk towards it to set if off and thats how i will be able to wakeup for tahajud Alhamdu-lillah!!
Trusting on Allah plays major role in waking up for fajir or tahajud. We can ask ALLAH to wake us early for fajir and Alhamdu-lillah i always try this and i wakeup before my alaram rings lol .
Another tip for waking up early is not to eat anything before going to sleep.”
